There are frequently positions available at the Humane Society of South Mississippi, so we are always accepting applications. Positions Available:

CLINIC MANAGER

Detail oriented individual who is able to perform and train staff on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Background with ability to work efficiently with diversified tasks and fluctuating workloads. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a variety of individuals on all levels. Stong organization and prioritizing skills. Ability to read and write English required. Committed to the mission of the HSSM.

Clinic Administrative Supervisor

This person must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment under sometimes stressful circumstances. Client service experience is strongly recommended. This Supervisor must possess a strong work ethic and be attentive to detail. Must possess extensive computer knowledge with particular expertise in Humane Solutions. This person must be committed to the mission of the HSSM. Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to subordinate staff, volunteers, the public, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors.

Clinic Operations Supervisor

This Supervisor must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive work attitude and calm demeanor. Knowledge of animal care, common diseases, zoonosis and behavior is required for this position. Client service experience is preferred. This person must possess a strong work ethic and leadership skills necessary to keep staff motivated and moving forward in the face of challenges and setbacks. This Supervisor must be fully committed to the mission of the HSSM. Possessing basic computer skills in a Windows environment is preferred. Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to subordinate staff, volunteers, public, Supervisors, Managers and Directors.

Kennel Technician

A team player, able to work in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of animal breeds and behavior helpful. Able to make decisions regarding the welfare of animals. Able to work weekends. Ability to read and write English required. Customer service experience helpful. Animal welfare experience preferred but not required. Committed to the mission of the HSSM. Basic computer skills in a Windows environment preferred.
