ST. PATRICK STUDENTS DONATE 750 lbs OF PET FOOD TO HSSM

The Humane Society of South Mississippi would like to give our heartfelt gratitude to the thoughtful students at St. Patrick Catholic High School.  Students enjoyed a jean dress day for the payment of cat or dog food on Friday, April 16.  Through the student’s kind donations HSSM received 750 lbs of dog and cat food that will be used to support our Wagon Train program.

There are many people in our area that are homeless or near homeless at this time.  Many of them have pets that they love dearly.  It would be a real travesty if they had to give up the pets they love because they are experience temporary financial difficulties.  For this reason, HSSM created the Wagon Train program which gives pet food to families in order to keep families, pets included, together.  Through the generosity of these students, we will have the food to supply to our community for the upcoming weeks.

The students of St. Patrick Catholic School should be extremely proud of themselves for the service they have provided to the animals and families of our community.  HSSM is extremely grateful for their kindness and support.
