Wendy's mom 2

Mrs. George Lindner (69) of D’Iberville died peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on Thursday, January 26th, 2017.  She is survived by her best friend and daughter, Wendy Kennedy.  Wendy, if you don’t already know, is an avid volunteer and advocate of the Humane Society of South Mississippi.  She photographs all of the dogs in the shelter in order for them to be adopted out faster and heads up the Have a Heart fund (provides treatment for heartworm positive animals in the shelter) as well as the Hog’s Heaven fund (provides enrichment such as treats, toys, etc. for the animals in the shelter). Mrs. Lindner was a grandmother to four special needs HSSM dogs and two cats, and 100% supported all of Wendy’s work at the shelter.  Her last wish was to see the heartworm positive animals at the shelter that normally sit for months on end, get the treatment they need in order to be adopted out.  In an effort to fulfill this wish and get these animals adopted out, the Humane Society of South Mississippi is collecting donations for the Have a Heart fund to provide treatment for the heartworm positive animals in-house at the shelter.  We have a goal of $10,000 and we are asking that all donations be made in honor of Mrs. George Lindner.
