We are a community resource committed to improving the lives of companion animals through adoption, spay/neuter and education.  Privacy and personal information security is very important to us and the Humane Society of South Mississippi fully respects the privacy of our adopters, donors and volunteers.

Donors

You are not required to provide any personal information to us unless you choose to do so.  We do ask for personal information on our online donation pages to properly enable donation transaction processing, acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes and send future correspondence.  The Humane Society of South Mississippi does not sell or share donor information to any outside agencies.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Adopters, Spay/Neuter and Microchip Clients

If you utilize our adoption, spay/neuter or microchip services, your name and address may be placed on our mailing list.  We may use the information collected to circulate news about the Humane Society of South Mississippi and our programs to promote events and to acquire new supporters.  Your information may also be shared with other reputable companies and shelter partners that may want to contact you with offers consistent with your stated preferences and/or mission or for other solicitation and informational purposes.  Some examples of these organizations include: Pet Health Insurance, Science Diet and national microchip databases.
